Here are some of the questions we get asked about Gambit – if you have a good question to add to the list, let us know!

How many players can play Gambit?

Like most classic, ancient games (Chess, Checkers, Backgammon), Gambit is normally a two-player head-to-head game. However, it’s also fun to play with partners, where you alternate your turns and moves.

What is Gambit made from?

Our preferred building material is recovered beetle-kill pine that is logged in affected areas. This wood is unusable in construction but has some wonderful grain, knots, and staining from the insect infection.

In this way, we are creating a market for a product that needs to be harvested and used so that it doesn’t create a forest fire hazard.

We have also made Gambit out of recovered mahogany, teak, oak and cherry wood, and always try to upcycle wood products into full size Gambit Boards. These premium wood boards are more expensive, as the wood is much more difficult to find.

Where can I buy my own Gambit Board?

Gambit has been on the shelf since 2017 at the Pink Spotted Goat Artisan’s Market in Downtown Vernon at 3103- 32nd Street.

We also participate in Creative Chaos every June in Vernon, BC. This year’s event is June 7-9, 2019, both number TBD.
